I sat in the doctors office holding my purse close to me as I waited for the results to come back.
Swinging my legs all I could do is think of the negative. I still had a whole life ahead of me.
It's like my whole life is just falling apart, first I get beat. Then I lose my baby, I accidentally smoked crack, it's a possibility I have HIV, and I'm loosing money since I haven't been working.
I heard the door open and slowly looked at the doctor seeing the nurse right beside him.
He sat on the stool next to me looking over my files. He looked up at me with sympathetic eyes.
"I'm sorry to tell you this but you came back positive for HIV"
As those words came out his mouth it just seemed like he was saying it over and over again.
"I'm gonna need you to come back for check ups and it's very important that you take the medicine I give you so it doesn't turn into AIDS."
I nodded as tears ran down my face.
"I'll see you your next appointment" He said handing me papers then walked out the room.
I gathered my stuff crying as I walked out the doctor office. Reaching my car and getting inside I sat there continuing to cry.
I let out a frustrated scream hitting the top of my steering wheel.
My phone started ringing and I calmed down a little noticing it was Jay.
"Hello" I answered sniffling.
"What they say" He asked.
I sat silent for a moment.
"It was positive" I said starting to cry again. He sighed and I just started balling.
"Where you at right now" He asked.
"I'm in the hospital parking lot" I said through my tears.
"I need you to calm down baby girl" He said softly. "I'm come by your place later to check on you"
"Be safe love" He said after I didn't say anything then hung up the phone.

Putting my last suit case in the trunk I closed it before getting in the car. Soon after I pulled up in front of Tay's house.
Everybody was here already and I came late because I was packing. It was a welcome home party for Tiyanna.
I walked around to the back looking down at my gladiator sandals and freshly painted toes.
I opened the gate closing it behind me.
"Hey" I greeted my dad and brothers giving them hugs.
"Your late as fuck" Darrian said to me.
"I know sorry" I said looking around for Tiyanna.
"Harmony" I heard her scream. I looked towards the back doors seeing her running towards me.
"Sister" I screamed meeting her half way. We pulled each other into a hug trying to keep our balance.
"I missed you" She smiled as we stopped hugging.
"I missed you too, your looking good" I said looking her over.
"Girl me? I seen you on magazines and stuff"
I smiled looking towards my niece and nephew who were coming towards me.
"I'm about to get going I'll call you later love" I kissed her cheek.
"Where you going so fast" She asked.
"I just gotta run somewhere" She nodded. We exchanged another hug and said our love you's.
"Hey babies" I said to my niece and nephew giving them hugs.
"Come with me real quick" I said and they followed me to the front to my car.
"Oo what's that" Desire asked peeking over my shoulder as I grabbed a bag from my back seat.
"Have patients nosey" Trevon said.
I turned to them pulling the two small boxes out the bag.
"This ones for you love bug" I said placing Trevons box on top of the car.
I pulled out the necklace for Desire. Putting it on her.
"It's so pretty" She said looking at the heart with diamonds on it.
"And this ones for you" I pulled out a gold chain putting it over his head. It was kind of big but I got it made like that so he can grow into it.
"Thanks Tt" He said with a big smile looking at it.
"I want you guys to keep those forever okay" I said to them and they nodded.
I then pulled out the photo album with all the pictures of us in there.
"I made one for all of us, it has all the same pictures" I said handing one to both of them.
"Tt what's wrong" Trevon asked noticing the tears that we're building in my eyes.
"Nothing. I just love you guys so much" I said.
"We love you too" They both said hugging me. I hugged them tight not wanting to let go.
"Okay look I want you both to go in the back and be good stay out of trouble and tell everybody I love them"
"Okay see you later love you Tt" Desire said running to the back.
Trevon stood in front of me with his hands in his pockets looking down.
"What's wrong lil man" I asked rubbing the top of his head.
"Are you gonna come back" He asked.
I sighed squatting to his level. "Yes I will" I said feeling the tears burn the back of my eyes because I didn't know if it was true or not.
"I love you" He said wrapping his arms around my neck hugging me.
"I love you too" I hugged him back.
"Baby don't let nobody tell you that you can't do something because you can do what ever you put your mind to" I told him.
When I was younger there was many people that said I couldn't become something. But it wasn't true because I became something. It's just not turning out how I planned
He nodded. "I'll see you later lil man"
"See ya later" He yelled running towards the back yard.
I sighed getting in the car pulling off letting tears fall once again. Tired of this crying shit but that's just how my mood has been lately. Not much to be happy about.
